Our business profile

Van Eck is a Dutch family business which was set up in 1912. Within the entire Van Eck organisation, around 150 people are busy working on the construction and maintenance of the latest road transport means. Beesd is the operational base for the development and manufacturing of all new vehicles, whereas maintenance and repairs as well as bodyshop work are carried out in the branches of Lexmond and Schiphol. The design and manufacturing of all products is entirely tailored to the wishes of the customer. Our production line consists of semi-trailers, trailers and trucks. A total of approximately 500 custom-made vehicles are delivered each year.

Our organisation has all disciplines in-house, ranging from research and production to after sales. Van Eck is unique in the market, as they are the only Dutch company in the sector that manufactures its own chassis and bodyworks and that customises and installs refrigerating units. As a result, Van Eck is able to quickly respond to changes in the market. Thanks to our creativity and 3D engineering, our position in both the domestic and exporting market is strong. More than 55% of our products are sold outside the Netherlands in more than 14 European countries.

The vehicles of Van Eck are the result of a consistent innovation strategy. The main theme therein is our continuous quest to increase loading capacity and produce CO2-reducing transport solutions. Partly by applying new technologies, Van Eck helps carriers to meet both the economic requirements and the increasingly stricter legislation as well as the social pressure in the field of the environment. Within this context, Van Eck believes that caring for the environment is a perpetual duty towards future generations. This belief forms an important guideline in the activities of the Van Eck Group.

By applying sustainable materials, our vehicles last extremely long. This means that the savings on the total costs throughout the life cycle of the trailers far exceed the slightly higher investment costs. Furthermore, a long life cycle means less consumption of relatively scarce raw materials, which is better for the environment.
